Coach Sean Davis, a year 2000 graduate of Sherwood High School, was a two year First Team All-County selection while playing for Coach Billy Goodman. Upon graduation, Davis continued his playing career at Frostburg State University.
Davis enjoyed one of the top careers in FSU history from 2001-2004, helping the Bobcats to a 102-60-1 overall record, one AMCC Tournament title and one ECAC appearance. He earned All-AMCC all four years, in 2003 he was first-team All-ECAC and third-team ABCA Mid-Atlantic Regional All-America honors
He compiled a .349 career batting average and finished as the school’s all-time leader in hits (182), runs (141), at-bats (522) and games played (158).
He also ranked second in hit-by-pitches (19), third in doubles (35) and walks (82), fourth in total bases (248), fifth in extra base hits (48), sixth in sacrifice bunts (20) and stolen bases (56), seventh in RBI (98) and 10th in triples (8).
After his playing career Davis returned to Frostburg as an assistant coach. His responsibilities were overseeing the development of infielders and assisted with recruiting.
Coach Davis has been coaching baseball in Montgomery County since 2005.
