Eight years ago, the concept of Panther Summer Sports Camps was born out of a desire to increase the athletic ability of youngsters throughout the Burtonsville community. Owner and Varsity Baseball Coach, Tommy Rey, saw a need to increase the interest and skill level of baseball players in the community. His belief was, “If we catch these youngsters before high school, assist in building their fundamental capacity of athletic skills, when they come to high school, they are ready to play and compete with other schools at a competitive level.”
From that belief, Coach Rey is now fulfilling his life long dream of providing children with valuable coaching prior to high school. He employs Varsity and Junior Varsity coaches with strong expertise in the sport camp they run. By doing so, the community benefits from having their children in camps that genuinely believe in the growth and development of their youngsters. Additionally, coaches (and teachers) benefit because they have a hand in the development of skills for future players.
After 2 years of running just Baseball Camps, Coach Rey added several sports to the camp offerings. In the same vein, he employed coaches and teachers from the community.
Coach Rey’s belief, vision, and dream of providing elite and athletic instruction to youngsters before high school has become contagious. Coaches surrounding the 495 Beltway have inquired about his philosophy and vision, and shared a desire to be a part of his summer sports camps. For that reason, Coach Rey decided to change the name from Panther Summer Sports Camps to All Pro Athletes, and branch out to other locations, with coaches he has personal relationships with, and confidence in their instructional abilities.
